Aztlan: A Journal of Chicano Studies
Publishes high-quality, original research relevant to or informed by the Chicano experience.
Issued semi-annually, the interdisciplinary, refereed journal has a focus on scholarly essays
in the humanities, social sciences, and arts, but also publishes thematic clusters of shorter
articles in its dossier section, an artist’s communiqué, and a review section.
Bilingual Research Journal Online
The BRJ covers topics dealing with bilingual education,
bilingualism, and language policies in education (e.g., language assessment,
policy analysis, instructional research, language politics, biliteracy,
language planning, second language learning and teaching, action research,
and sociolinguistics).
As the official organ of the National Association
for Bilingual Education, the journal has a strong interest in matters
related to the education of language minority children and youth in
the United States, grades K-12, but articles focusing on other countries
are often included.

Education Review
Publishes reviews of recent books in education, covering the entire range of education
scholarship and practice. A service of the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education at
Arizona State University and the Michigan State University Libraries. Also available
in Spanish.

Journal of Borderlands Education (JBE)
JBE publishes critical, integrative pieces of research and literature
pertaining to education and the notions of borders and the borderland.
Potential publications should include conceptualizations, interpretations,
and syntheses of literature and scholarly work in the respective field.
Likewise, JBE encourages the submission of research and creative works
relevant to education from any discipline, such as psychology, sociology,
history, philosophy, political science, economics, instructional technology,
statistics, anthropology, and biology, provided that the review centers on
educational and border/borderland issues.
